Create a new plaza for Bridge HIV Program clients and neighborhood. Create opportunities to sit outside to enjoy the sun and to rest, sheltered by wind and traffic along the Van Ness corridor.

Transform both entrances into pedestrian plazas with short term interventions such as right-of-way narrowing, movable furniture and greening. Location: Annie Alley between Mission Street and Market Street

Build upon the existing public space at the end of the Muni N-Judah line. Using tactical interventions to create a sense of place and a community destination.

SFBC+sfmta liveable streets project

Polk Street Demostration Project

Location: Polk Street between McAllister and Union
Partners: Department of Public Works, SFMTA, SFBC
Test new bike lanes and pedestrian improvements on two blocks of Polk Street. The trial project articulates the larger design vision for the corridor to be built by end of 2014.
